Welcome to the dedicated website for the National Association of Disc Jockey’s Annual Conference & AGM 2015!  The showcase event for the NADJ heads to the North East of England as we use the facilities at the National Glass Centre.  We’re also receiving plenty of help from our NADJ North East branch.

We know from feedback from our members that the content of the past three Conferences that we’ve provided an excellent range of seminars, a great opportunity for DJs to network with their peers and also a chance to see sound and lighting demonstrations direct from the manufacturers.  We believe that the Conference is going from strength to strength and we firmly believe that through events such as this we can better equip our members (and our potential members) with the tools and resources they’ll need to help build their businesses.

We’ve pulled out all the stops to give you a great day and hope you’ll join us as only through your support can we continue to put on these types of events enabling us to improve the industry and in turn advance the image of DJs in the eyes of the general public.

The Association has kept with our promise to move the AGM & Conference around the country each year.  We stop off at a region where we have an established branch and this all started with a visit to Wales in 2012, to West Yorkshire in 2013 and then we had the 2014 AGM & Conference in London.  As you can see, the locations are diverse and they’re not biased to any particular part of the UK (North, South, East or West).

As we were in London last year, it is only fair that we take the event to another part of the country and as we have a successful branch in the North East of England, we decided that branch will host the AGM & Conference.  So, it’s to Sunderland we go in 2015!

Just like when DJs are performing, it’s impossible to please everyone when it comes to where we hold the Conference.  There are calls to always hold it in the midlands, but we don’t have a branch in that particular area.  It also means that we would break our promise to move the branch around the country and to utilise the local knowledge from our branch representatives to assist us in finding the location and promoting the event to local DJs and the media.

Equally, we have a great bunch of members who will travel the length and breadth of the country to be a part of events like our AGM & Conference.  We see them all the time at our gatherings and other industry events.  They often wonder why other members don’t make as much effort as them to be more involved with their Association.  They see and do take advantage of what’s on offer at our events and they find it worthwhile and beneficial to their DJ business.  If every DJ had that same approach, we’d be able to make our organisation stronger and we would be able to fund bigger and better events for the benefit of our members.

Don’t forget that we will also have the election of officers and members will be given the opportunity to nominate the Full Members they believe are the best people to take the organisation forward for the next year.  In the event of there being multiple candidates standing for any of the elected positions (Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer) a ballot will then take place at the AGM.

The team of volunteers who run the NADJ look forward to seeing you at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland on Sunday 26th April 2015!
