NADJ Annual General Meeting 2015: National Committee Nomination Form
The 2015 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) takes place on Sunday 26th April 2015 at The National Glass Centre. The formal part of the AGM will start at approximately 5pm (seminars start earlier in the day). More details of the Conference can be found on the dedicated event website: www.djexpo.co.uk
All NADJ members are requested to attend the AGM, where the Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary for the 2015-2016 term of office will be elected. Nominations are invited for the elected officers within the Association; the positions of Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. If you would like to nominate someone please use the electronic nomination form and submit it by mid-day on Sunday 12th April 2015. The current elected officers are:
- Chairman – Alan Marshall
- Secretary – Fabio Capozzi
- Treasurer – Brian Jones
NADJ members can nominate any Full NADJ member for the position of Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer and if more than one person is nominated, a vote will take place for the respective officers at the AGM.
You must be a Full Member with valid PAT test documents on file and also up to date membership subscriptions in order to nominate or vote at the AGM. Both of these requirements will be checked before the nomination will be accepted.
Nominations are now primarily conducted electronically. All you need to do is to log into the www.nadj.org.uk website and go to the ‘Members’ drop-down menu. At the bottom of that menu there is a link to ‘AGM 2015 Committee Nominations Form.’ On that form you can indicate who you wish to stand for the three elected positions on the National NADJ Committee. You do not need to fill in all three positions – if you only want to nominate a Chairman, then only fill in that field.
Entering your membership number is compulsory and it can be found on your NADJ membership ID card and your personalised confirmation of insurance document. It will begin with M and have three or four digits – you are required to put the full details in that part of the form. An example of this would be M357 or M2010 – do not make up this number as your nomination may not be accepted and a verification system is in place.
All questions from members of the NADJ for use in the ‘Any Other Business’ section of the AGM must be lodged with the NADJ Secretary by no later than mid day on Sunday 12th April 2015.
Please ensure your membership subscriptions are up to date and that you have valid PAT test documents on file with us, as your nomination may not count if you have not met the membership criteria as per the NADJ Constitution. Members should also speak to any person they wish to nominate before completing the form as that’s good etiquette.
If you cannot remember your Username or Password, please use the two links in the ‘User Login’ section on the top left side of the NADJ website to retrieve your Username or a token to reset your password to log into the NADJ website – these will both be sent to you by e-mail and you are encouraged to check any ‘Junk/Spam’ folders if you have not received a message with the information within one hour.
One final note of importance, a nomination is not a vote. Voting will take place by ballot at the AGM only and will only apply to positions where there a multiple candidates standing for an elected position. If you have any issues nominating via the NADJ website, please contact Paul Arnett by e-mail before the nomination deadline as nominations cast after mid day on Sunday 12th April 2015 will not be counted: email@example.com
